Have you ever heard about RAD? This guide focuses on the RAD token. Let’s find out if it is still trustworthy or just a scam?

What to Know About Radicle and the RAD token?

What is Radicle (RAD)?

Radicle is a network that helps developers collaborate, work, and raise funds without reliance on third parties, without content censorship, and unified on one app, built using open protocols. Radicle is free, and designed to be highly secure, user-friendly, and censor-resistant. In keeping with an ethos of accessibility, Radicle can also function in an offline environment. This means it doesn’t require a Domain Name Service (DNS) — or even internet connectivity — in order to function.

The RAD token operates as the main governance and utility token for the network. RAD is an ERC-20 token that resides on the Ethereum network. It serves a variety of purposes. For example, you can send RAD globally in seconds. You also must hold RAD to participate in the voting features of the network or to interact with smart contracts.

The RAD token serves two primary roles:

  1. It is the governance token that allows users to vote for platform changes that utilize on-chain governance methods. This includes protocol changes and control of the Radicle Treasury, which holds more than 50% of the total RAD supply.
  2. RAD crypto holders receive discounted or free use of Ethereum-based Radicle protocols. Users who don’t have RAD can still use these protocols but must pay the standard market rate gas fees.

Who create Radicle (RAD)?

The Radicle concept took flight in February 2018. The network was founded by two developers by the names of Alexis Sellier and Eleftherios Diakomichalis. Their goal was to create a more sustainable and democratic way to fund open-source public software protocols.

How Radicle Works

Radicle Network is inspired by a pre-existing peer-to-peer protocol built on top of Git, called Radicle Link.

Radicle Link, with its peer-to-peer data sharing mechanism by copying and sharing data for authorized users, has extended Git's intelligent protocol, thereby helping to transfer information and data. made easier in a peer-to-peer decentralized data network.

Is RAD a good investment?

No one knows for sure what will come, the only thing that’s for sure is that you are likely to lose money if you don’t put in the time to do your own research. And even then, you could still lose big. Please, do it in a responsible manner. Don't invest a lot of money in RAD and always go for low-cost positions. Otherwise, you may find yourself in a difficult situation, both financially and emotionally.
